Love others, love yourself even more. Fall in love everyday with the reflection that stares back at you when you look in the mirror. Give yourself a reason to smile each day. Say no to dull moments. Do not let anything, anyone or any thought steal your joy; it is much too precious. Keep your head up high and keep standing tall when faced with adversaries. Know your worth and place great value on yourself. The value and respect you have for yourself equates the value and respect others give you. Treat yourself nicely.
The opinions of others about you shouldn’t be a yardstick to determine how much love you have for yourself. As a matter of fact, not everyone you associate with truly likes and appreciates you. This is a sad truth. Therefore, do not limit your self-esteem, self-worth, self-love, value, dignity and happiness to how good or how bad people treat you. Do not live to impress others or to seek their approval and acceptance. Do not force relationships. If certain people choose to walk away from your life, let them go. They were a part of your past but now, there’s a whole new future ahead. Don’t try to fit in, choose to stand out. You are perfect and unique in your own way. All stars shine but some shine brighter than others; allow your star shine in its own capacity. Don’t claim to be who you are not. Be yourself and be happy about it.
Mistakes, past experiences and failures shouldn’t hinder you from living a happy and joyous life. That you failed doesn’t make you a failure; what makes you a failure is choosing to believe you are a failure and giving up on yourself. That you failed then doesn’t mean you will fail now. Negative voices often play loudest in our heads but learn to tune your mind to what you want to listen to and believe in. Choose to stay positive. Your situation is never hopeless. You can still rise from the ashes. How you live today determines what tomorrow will look like. Stop living a life of regret; you have the chance to make things right again. It’s time to come out of your shell, spread those wings and fly high.
There is more to you than you realise. Be the best version of you. Dress the way you want to be addressed. Show up on time. Learn to say “please” and “thank you” when needed. Be cultured, be decent, be honest and be smart. Build intelligence, build character. Make efforts to learn something new each day. Develop your own style, if others could, you can too. Be kind to others and have respect for them also. Do not let anyone walk over you or run you down; stand up for yourself. Believe in yourself. Be wise, be bold, be better.
